Date: Tuesday 22 September 2026
Timings: 11:00 - 12:30
Location: Teams Webinar
The Employment Rights Act 2025 signals a significant shift towards trade union engagement, with new rights of physical and digital access to the workplace, a new duty to issue workers with a written statement explaining their right to join a trade union, and relaxation of the thresholds for compulsory recognition to name just a few of the legal changes involved.
The new rules have the potential to affect unionised and non-unionised businesses alike. In fact, the changes have the potential to have a particularly potent impact on businesses which have little or no experience of dealing with trade unions.
Why attend?
This webinar will provide not just an overview of the key changes but will outline practical strategies employers can adopt to manage risk and maintain control of their workplaces in a new union landscape.
In addition to our own experts, we’re delighted to be joined for the webinar by Simon Cheetham KC, a barrister from Old Square Chambers. As an industrial relations and trade union law specialist, Simon will offer his own practical insights on this new dawn of trade union engagement.
